While we are used to hearing cautionary tales about coyotes, this particular animal could have done with some advice from humans about sticking your head in a jar.

Conservation Officers in Maple Ridge attended to a coyote who had gotten its head stuck up to its neck inside a large glass jar.

According to a post by B.C. Conservation Officer Service, the officers tranquilized the animal before getting to work. The officer can be seen applying liquid soap around the edge of the jar to slip it off.

After the coyote's head was freed, officers waited by its side and cooled it down with water until its mobility returned.
