TRUDEAU AND CODERRE TO MEET THIS MORNING
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre are set to meet later this morning against the backdrop of national divisions over Energy East. While it is not exactly known what the two will discuss at Montreal city hall, chances are one of the topics will be the controversial pipeline project.

TRIBUNAL TO RULE ON CHILDREN'S WELFARE
The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal is set to determine if the federal government has discriminated against children on reserves. The quasi-judicial body is expected to publish its ruling this morning related to a 2007 complaint from the Assembly of First Nations and The First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada.

JUDGE WEIGHS EVIDENCE PROBLEMS IN CASE OF MISSING COUPLE
A judge is to decide today whether a trial will go ahead for a man charged with murder in the disappearance of Alberta seniors Lyle and Marie McCann. Lawyers for Travis Vader have argued the case should be dropped over alleged abuse of process. The McCanns were last seen in 2010 fuelling up their motorhome in their hometown of St. Albert, Alta.
