The nights are getting longer and the temperatures are dropping as we head into the winter season in Kamloops and the Okanagan, and it's a good thing animals are always around to keep us entertained.

This month, area photographers captured images of pets and wildlife at the most perfect moments resulting in these uplifting snaps that prompted joyful reactions and comments on social media.

A bottoms-up duck, a goofy bear and a yawning alpaca that appears to be screaming are a few fun photos included in this collection.
