Snow is falling across the Thompson Okanagan and residents are taking advantage of the weather.
Snow is expected to continue falling around the region, Dec. 4 and will fall again later this week.
Residents reported staying indoors and watching movies for the day while others are heading out into the snow.
A highway alert is in effect for the Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt and on Highway 3 from this morning until the late afternoon.
A low pressure system will bring snow to Highway 3 today from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass. Heavy snow will taper off to a few flurries later this afternoon, according to an alert from Environment Canada.
