Rainy weather in the southern Interior this week produced some beautiful rainbows and many residents snapped photos of the colourful arcs.
Rainbows are created when sunlight hits water droplets and the colours appear from the longest to shortest wavelength: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.
Here is a roundup of rainbow pictures taken from various locations near Kamloops, the Okanagan and the Shuswap after a rainfall yesterday, Sept. 26.
