Deer are everywhere in the natural and urban spaces in Kamloops and the Okanagan and sometimes can be very entertaining to observe.
Considered an urban pest by many, deer are arguably adorable as they raise their spotted fawns every spring, nibble on grass and bask in the sunshine. Sometimes the deer are caught getting up to mischief like stealing fruits and vegetables, or leaving their fawns in strange places.
This collection of summer photos includes a deer stealing apricots, one going for a swim and a spotted fawn curled up on someone’s doorstep.
