Residents in the Okanagan were treated to a fiery dry lightning show a few days ago and some of them captured photos and video clips of the intense bolts.
The lightning storm moved through the southern Interior on the evening of Friday, July 5, when bolts could be seen arching in forks across the sky and appearing to touch the ground in some places.
Most of the activity centred around the Lake Country and Oyama areas.

Lake Country resident Colby Knowles watched the storm through his kitchen window just after 9 p.m.
"It was super quiet after a short downpour and I was getting ready to turn the lights off and head to bed when I saw a bright flash behind the blinds, followed by crazy thunder," he said.
"I decided to dim my kitchen lights and watch as the dark clouds rolled over the house to see if I could catch a shot of the lightning through the window. The storm seemed to travel towards Kelowna and we were left with light rain."
