Const. Riley Jackson was in his Mountie uniform today at Gyro Park in Penticton. He was photographed with David Currie and his dog Ducky, who were visiting from White Rock.

Families from near and far have gathered at Gyro Park in Penticton for the country's birthday party.

It's a fun day in the park with live music, food trucks and tons of activities for kids. 

Tonight around 10 p.m. there will be a large firecracker show at Okanagan Lake waterfront.
