One thing about this time of year – you don’t have to get up particularly early at this time of year to catch a sunrise.
We’ve passed the winter solstice but even though the days are getting longer, it still takes until almost 8 a.m. for the sun to rise in the Okanagan in late December.
Today, Dec. 29, sunrise was at 7:55 a.m.
The sunrise in the South Okanagan was particularily spectacular with the peach-coloured hues catching the eye of several photographers who generously shared their pictures with us today.
