iN PHOTOS: Brave folks invited to haunted house at Summerland steam train station

A couple reminds each other of their love for one another, in case it's their last chance, before entering the haunted house at the Kettle Valley Steam Railway in Summerland.

The train station in Summerland has turned into a haunted house to frighten the public this weekend.

A series of dark and terrifying rooms have popped up at the Kettle Valley Steam Railway, and the public is invited to walk through them.

Guests are taken past witches brews, morbid props, and may have a tough time distinguishing dummies from actors.

“It’s actually pretty cool because the high school is putting it on,” station host Taylor Cowie said. “It’s a freaky atmosphere.”

There is a watered-down version for families with youngsters. The scarier, all-ages experience is sold out for tonight, Oct. 22.

However there are spaces for both versions of the walk-thru still available for tomorrow.

Proceeds from the event support Summerland Secondary School’s dry grad.

Tickets for the haunted house are $15 through the Kettle Valley Railway website. Tickets for the Sorcery Express are sold out.
