While cold winter temperatures and snow can be an inconvenience, the weather also lends to some beautiful views and perspectives on landscapes, lakes and even vehicles.
In a recent winter deep freeze that spread across Kamloops and the Okanagan, some area photographers braved the cold and snapped photos of boats, trains and vehicles under the snow and ice.
Moored boats on Okanagan Lake got caught up in the ice this past week, while the CP Rail train was spotted chugging through falling snow.
These photos are sure to make you feel chilly.
