You've seen the headlines, you've known for a long time we have an overdose crisis in our communities and across B.C.

Just in case you've tuned out the updates, let's get caught up. In the past three years, more than 3,300 people have died from overdoses in this province.

That's enough people to fill every seat in Vernon's Kal Tire Place and leave a line up into the street.

Fentanyl, the deadly opioid that's up to 50 times more potent than heroin, is largely behind the massive increase in overdose deaths in B.C. since 2015 and 2018 looks like it will continue the trend unless we all understand who is at risk and what to do about it.
