Kamloops, B.C., January 24, 2017 – Recent allegations of cyber attacks influencing the 2016 US election has brought the topic of cybersecurity to the forefront. A cyber threat can occur anywhere – from the world of international espionage to the computer sitting on our desks.

On February 1, 2017, BCLC and Thompson Rivers University (TRU) present the latest edition of the Technology and Innovation Series that will explore cyber risk and its impact to organizations of all levels.

Join Justin Fong, a Cyber Risk Partner with Deloitte, as he dives into how organizations and individuals can protect themselves from financial loss and reputational damage that can result from a cyber-attack. He will share his personal experience in fighting cyber threats from casual hackers, organized crime and government organizations.

With more than 14 years of experience, Fong has supported organizations to secure their assets and growth through effective cybersecurity programs. As Deloitte’s Cybersecurity leader for Western Canada, he advises major oil and gas, and global financial organizations on every aspect of a cybersecurity program, including strategy, vulnerability assessment, implementation and business continuity.
