Donations are being collected from across the Thompson Okanagan for those in need this Christmas.
Food bank hampers and Salvation Army toy drives aren’t the only Christmas campaigns going on this year.
If you need a helping hand this Christmas, or are able to help those in need, campaigns are ongoing right up until Christmas. If we missed your charity, please feel free to add any details in the comments at the bottom of the story.
Vernon
Stocking Stuffers at London Drugs
Stocking Stuffers for Seniors is back for 2021 at all London Drugs locations across Western Canada. For the fifth year in a row, Stocking Stuffers for Seniors partners with local care homes and charities with a mission to bring more holiday cheer to seniors. Any new, non-wrapped gift will be accepted. Donate in-store by Dec. 12.

Archway Society for Domestic Peace
This year, in lieu of its annual Little Black Dress fundraiser, the society is holding a 50/50 raffle. Funds collected from the raffle will help survivors of domestic violence. Tickets are on sale until Dec. 20 and more information can be found through Archway’s website.
The John Christmas Light Tour
The Christmas tour will be held for its third year. Vernon realtor John Christmas has partnered with the North Okanagan Neurological Association this year, to raise funds to help families and caregivers of children with developmental challenges. Each house on the tour was sponsored by a local business that made a donation to NONA to have their name on the sign. For a full list of participating homes, visit the Christmas tour’s website.
All Are Family Outreach
While located in Lake Country, this non-profit will help Vernon residents in need. The non-profit currently accepting donations for Christmas hampers this year and looking for sponsors.

Kamloops
Christmas Amalgamated
Donate a toy at the Kamloops Ford dealership at 940 Halston Avenue to help families in need. All donations will be accepted, from food, to toys, clothing and gift cards. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 19.
Purses for Women’s Shelter
For the last three years, local community advocate Patti Phillips has been collecting purses stuffed with essentials to donate to the Women's Shelter at the Emerald House in Kamloops. Donations can be dropped off at the North Shore Business Improvement office by appointment.

The Mustard Seed
This Christmas, share the gift of a meal and life-transforming hope with your neighbours who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. Donations will help provide holiday meals to guests at The Mustard Seed along with other essential services, like warm clothing and clean facilities during the cold winter months.

Kelowna
Festival of Trees Kelowna
Mission Hill Family Estate is hosting the fifth annual Festival of Trees Kelowna, in support of the B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation. In the last four years, Mission Hill has raised more than $109,000 and hopes to raise more than $50,000 this year. The event runs at the winery until Dec. 23.
Candy Cane Lane
The annual fundraiser for local non-profits is in need of some assistance this year, helping residents set up decorations. Each year, the annual Rutland tradition sees residents decorate their homes along Collison Road, Gramiak Road and Mary Court to fundraise for different non-profits and organizations. Christmas parade
The organizers of a former Kelowna haunted house are setting their sights on the Christmas season instead. The fundraiser supports non-profit Mamas for Mamas and will be held Dec. 10 and 11 throughout Kelowna. For more information on the parade route, visit the organizer’s Facebook page.
Penticton
Mamas for Mamas South Okanagan
Join the non-profit's team for a beer at Slackwater Brewing, Dec. 12 at noon. A burger and beer special for $20 will go towards Mamas for Mamas and raffle prizes will also be offered. Save your spot and reserve a table early by emailing info@slackwaterbrewing.com.
Last Minute Craft-mas Fundraiser
The fundraiser features six last minute crafting workshops to get everything you need for the holidays. Take some time for yourself and creative play this season. The fundraiser will support the Penticton Arts Council’s arts matter program and the art room renovation. More information can be found on the council’s website. Events run until Dec. 24.
