Hot weather will continue for the Okanagan

The Okanagan forecast is much like it has been all summer — hot and sun, sun, sun.

OKANAGAN - There's no break in the near future from the heat and sun as high temperatures are predicted to stay above 30 Celsius throughout the Okanagan and straight through the weekend.

Today, July 27, Environment Canada predicts we should reach a high of 32 C with an overnight low of 14 C in Penticton, Vernon and Kelowna. The UV index is 8 which is considered very high so remember to cover up if you can.

Tomorrow is more of the same with clear skies and a high of 31 C but that's expected to rise to a daytime high of 33 C on Saturday and a high of 31 C on Sunday with few if any clouds expected. Overnight lows are expected between 14 C and 15 C throughout the Okanagan.

If you are travelling, be aware there is a smoky skies advisory for the Thompson and Shuswap regions due to wildfires burning in the areas.

The longer term forecast is also much as it has been all summer with not a drop of rain in site and daytime temperatures above 30 C.
