PENTICTON - As the days get cooler and nights get longer, the need for a food becomes a higher priority for people in need in Penticton.
SmartShopper Value Variety Convenience store owner Leigh Follestad is helping the Penticton Soupateria out today, Oct. 23, by donating 100 per cent of money he makes through the sale of hot drinks in his downtown store.
Follestad says the hot drinks are available today by donation. His goal is to raise $1,000 for the Soupateria.
“I drive by (the Soupateria) everyday. I decided I could choose to be aware of it and do something to help out,” he says.
Smartshopper Value Variety Convenience store is located at 232 Main Street in Penticton.
