Home invaders ransack Vernon residence

FILE PHOTO

Two suspects forced their way into a Vernon home yesterday afternoon in what police call a targeted incident.

Vernon RCMP say at about 3:30 p.m. yesterday, March 9, officers responded to a report of two individuals who had forced entry into a home on the 9000 block of Tronson Road.

A 37-year-old woman was home at the time of the incident, according to an RCMP media release. Officers and a police dog responded, but the suspects fled before police arrived.

The woman was not injured, and fled to a neighbouring residence to call 911.

RCMP say she has been put in touch with victims services due to the nature of the incident.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
