The glitz and glamour of Hollywood is heading to Lumby.

Filming of the movie Cold Providence in due to begin next month and the film features two well-known actors from Los Angeles.

Silk Road Productions Inc. line producer Chris Clayton told iNFOnews.ca the actors were "A-list" Hollywood stars but was keeping his lips firmly sealed about their identity, only confirming, "it's not Nicholas Cage."

A film crew is scheduled to descend on the North Okanagan town March 16 for just over two weeks of filming in town and the surrounding area.

Along with the two Hollywood stars, the film will feature a cast from B.C. and a crew of around 50. Clayton said the budget for the movie was around $1.4 million and it's estimated the filming in Lumby will inject several hundreds of thousands of dollars into the local economy.

The movie is described on the IMDb website as a "twisted noir road movie" set in "snowbound" Northern States. The movie is about a writer who has writer's block and a bag full of cash, who meets a "beautiful, vengeful killer" and the two of them go on the run.

While the names of the actors have yet to be released, who would you like to see staring in the movie?
