VERNON - When Christmas winds down, there's one certainty: You've amassed a mountain of wrapping paper.
Before you stuff everything into bags and toss them to the curb, it's best to remember the holiday collection schedule.
The City of Vernon is reminding its residents to prepare for different pick-up times for waste in the next week.
The Vernon schedule changes will mostly impact residents of North Vernon, Bella Vista, the Rise, and Lakeridge. Collection day in those areas (typically Tuesday) was moved to today (Dec. 24) and Dec. 31 instead of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Pickup time will still be at 7 a.m. Other pickup dates will stay the same.
To find out if your area will be affected by this change, check out the residential garbage schedule page.
