Hockey fans launch off engagement at Kelowna Rockets game

A couple of hockey fans went to last night's Kelowna Rockets game and boyfriend and girlfriend, and left as fiancés.

While sitting front row at the Prospera Place during the Feb. 19 game, a man knelt down on one knee to pop the question.

His partner appeared pleasantly surprised and can be seen nodding yes, then he placed the ring on her finger.

“Oh there’s been a marriage proposal in the building tonight,” the broadcaster says in the video shared to the Rockets Facebook page.

“And by the grace of god – did she say yes – I think she did.”

The Rocket were playing the Portland Winterhawks and won 3–1. Their next game is tomorrow night at home against the Tri-City Americans.
