Hockey and wine highlight South Okanagan events this weekend

PENTICTON - Take in a Vees game, learn about wine pairing, or enjoy some food and live music this weekend in Penticton.

The Penticton Vees hockey club face off against the Powell River Kings tonight, Jan. 11 at the South Okanagan Events Centre, with puck drop at 7 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, kids 18 and under are free.

The Vees are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the South Okanagan Events Centre when they face off against the Nanaimo Clippers.

Experience the art of food and wine pairing with Indigenous cuisine at Nk’Mip Cellars with specially prepared food pairing from the four food chiefs: bear salmon, bitterroot and Saskatoon berry. Cost is $15 at the Nk’Mip Cellars Qwam Qwmt Tasting Gallery, 1400 Rancher Creek Road, Osoyoos. Two events run this weekend, on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13, starting at noon.

The Penticton Eagles are offering an evening of good food, great live music and dancing with the band Glory Days at the Penticton Eagles Club, 1197 Main St., Penticton. There is no cost for the event, which takes place Saturday, Jan. 12 from 7 to 11 p.m.
