Sonnet, Adidas register wins in PWHPA Dream Gap Tour

MONTREAL - Team Sonnet and Team Adidas were winners in Saturday's action at the Dream Gap Tour.

Team Sonnet spotted Team Scotiabank the game's first goal before storming back to record a 4-2 victory in the Professional Women's Hockey Players' Association event at the Verdun Auditorium.

Alexa Vasco, Abby Roque, Erin Ambrose and Brianne Jenner scored for the winners, while Megan Keller and Rebecca Johnston scored for Scotiabank, which led 1-0 after the first period and trailed 2-1 heading into the third. Jenner also added two assists in the victory.

Team Adidas spotted Team Harvey's a 2-0 lead and rallied back with four unanswered goals to register a 4-2 win at the Verdun Auditorium.

Sarah Potomak had two goals for the winners, including an empty-netter. Kendall Coyne Schofield and Kelly Gribbons scored singles for Team Adidas. Samantha Donovan had two assists.

Jamie Lee Rattray and Marie-Philip Poulin scored for Team Harvey's.

Both winning teams secured three points in the season standings.
