BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Dallas Stars have traded goaltender Jack Campbell to the Los Angeles Kings for defenceman Nick Ebert in a swap of American-born prospects.

The Stars traded Campbell six years after drafting him 11th overall when the Michigan native was 18. He appeared in one game for Dallas in October 2013. He had a 56-43-10 record with a 2.73 goals-against average in 122 regular-season games with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

The 22-year-old Ebert appeared in 44 games for Ontario in the AHL, getting 12 points (two goals, 10 assists).
