WASHINGTON - Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson is set to make his return to the lineup.
The NHL team announced via Twitter that the star blue-liner will play tonight against the Washington Capitals.
Karlsson has been out of the lineup since suffering a serious injury to his Achilles tendon on Feb. 13.
The defending Norris Trophy winner recently returned to practice and has been working with regular defence partner Marc Methot of late.
Karlsson led all NHL defenceman in goals (19) and points (78) last season.
He had 10 points in 14 games this season before the injury.
