NEW YORK, N.Y. - Goalie Henrik Lundqvist has agreed to a contract extension with the New York Rangers.

The team did not announce terms of the deal Wednesday.

The 31-year-old Lundqvist has been a Vezina Trophy finalist as the NHL's top goaltender in five of his eight seasons, winning the award in 2012.

Lundqvist has a 284-182-57 career record with a 2.26 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and 47 shutouts.

The Swede was a seventh-round draft pick by the Rangers in 2000 and made his NHL debut in 2005.
