Oilers' Klefbom out indefinitely after surgery to repair broken bones in finger

Edmonton Oilers defenceman Oscar Klefbom underwent surgery to repair broken bones in his left pinky finger and will be sidelined indefinitely, the team announced Saturday.

The 25-year-old was injured in the Oilers' 6-4 victory over the Avalanche on Tuesday after blocking a shot by Colorado's Sven Andrighetto in the second period.

Klefbom went to the bench and briefly return to the ice before leaving the game for good.

The 2011 first-round pick (19th overall by the Oilers) has three goals and 12 assists in 31 games this season.
