TORONTO - The NHL has tabled its complete opening offer in contract talks with the NHL Players' Association.

The two sides resumed negotiations Tuesday, with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman saying the league presented the remaining elements of its opening proposal to the players' union.

The NHL delivered its opening proposal July 13 that reportedly included a decreased share of hockey-related revenue, term limits on contracts and a 22 per cent salary rollback.

This round of talks are scheduled to conclude Thursday but resume again next week in New York.

The current collective bargaining agreement is set to expire Sept. 15.

This session marks the fifth consecutive week Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr have sat across the table from one another in bargaining talks.
