Collective bargaining talks scheduled to resume as NHL lockout hits a month

TORONTO - The NHL's labour talks will resume Tuesday morning at the offices of the NHL Players' Association in Toronto.
The session is expected to include the four key negotiators: Gary Bettman and Bill Daly for the NHL, and Donald Fehr and Steve Fehr for the union.
It comes just days before the next batch of regular season games is expected to be wiped out by the lockout.
The league has already cancelled 82 games through Oct. 24 and will likely take more off the schedule by the end of the week.
The month-long lockout has seen the NHL and NHLPA maintain frequent dialogue, but the sides have been unable to make much progress on key issues.
Had the regular season started as scheduled, players would have received their first pay cheques on Monday.
