The seven-game slugfest between the Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators drew and average audience of 2.2 million viewers on Sportsnet and CBC, according to Rogers.

The broadcaster said viewership peaked for Thursday's Game 7 sudden death showdown between the NHL's top two regular-season teams.

An average audience of three million tuned in to see the Jets beat the Predators 5-1 and advance to the NHL Western Conference final for the first time.

Rogers said that number made Thursday's game the most-watched Winnipeg Jets broadcast ever.
