Highway 99 closed due to rockslide near Lillooet

A rockslide south of Lillooet, Sunday, March 6, 2022, caused the closure of Highway 99.

A rockslide last night has closed Highway 99 near Lillooet.

Drive B.C. is reporting the highway is currently closed today, March 7, and an assessment by the Ministry of Transportation is in progress roughly eight kilometres south of Lillooet.

The rockslide occurred between Lil'wat Place and Seton Lake Road.

Drive B.C.’s next update is expected at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
