Highway 3 has reopened to single-lane, alternating traffic following a mudslide this morning.

Drive B.C. reported the mudslide between Sunshine Valley and Allison Pass Summit, roughly 17 to 54 kilometres east of Hope, earlier today, Nov. 22.

It has since reopened to essential travel only, and major traffic delays are expected, according to Drive B.C.

The road was previously closed due to a mudslide, but reopened Non. 19 to essential travel.

Highway 99 is the only other route open in B.C. connecting the Interior to the Lower Mainland. It is only open to essential travel.

The Coquihalla will remain closed for an extended period of time due to mudslides.
