Vancouver police are warning the public about a 56-year-old man with a high risk of committing sexual offences after he did not go return to his halfway house.

Kenneth Nolan Kirton is under a long-term supervision order and he’s required to live at a halfway house in East Vancouver, according to a media release from the Vancouver Police Department.

Kirton has been declared dangerous offender and is considered a high risk to sexually offend, the release says.

He signed out of the halfway house shortly after 4 p.m. on April 28 and did not come back. He was reported to police this morning. He is now wanted across Canada.

Kirton is 5’6 and 165 pounds. He has short black hair and was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve sweater, darks blue jeans, and black shoes.

Darpanmagazine.com reported that Kirton failed to return to his halfway house in March 2021 as well. Court records show that he was charged with escape lawful custody or being unlawfully at large on April 11, 2022.

Anyone who knows where to find him is asked to call 9-1-1.
