KAMLOOPS - If you haven't tried running with donuts, you'll get your chance next weekend in Kamloops.

The organizers of the Dirty Feet Trail Race Series are inviting the public to the 4th annual Run 4 Donuts in Kamloops on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The run is in support of the Kamloops Food Bank Society.

"Who doesn’t like donuts and who doesn’t like running? Well, we are combining both and doing it for a great cause," the organizers say on their website.

Last year the event raised $2,000 and donated two bins of food to the Kamloops Food Bank and donated leftover donuts to the shelter. In total, the Run 4 Donut events have raised more than $5,000 since 2015.

If you're interested in running or walking while eating up to eight donuts and raising money for the Kamloops Food Bank, go here to register.

The run begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at Riverside Park.
