OKANAGAN - It looks like the weather will cooperate on the Canada Day long weekend in the Okanagan with lots of sun and only a little bit of rain in the forecast.
Today, June 29, should be sunny, according to Environment Canada, with a high of 30 Celsius expected. Tonight a few clouds will be making their way into the Okanagan. A low of 14 C is expected.
Tomorrow is forecast to be even hotter, reaching a high of 32 C. While mainly sunny there will be some cloud moving in in the afternoon. Overnight it’s expected to drop to a low of only 17 C with cloudy periods.
On Saturday, Canada Day, forecasters are calling for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 30 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers throughout the day and into the evening. Overnight the mercury will drop to around 14 C.
Expect sunshine and a high of 30 C Sunday. At night it’ll stay clear as the temperature drops to 15 C.
Monday looks to be fairly similar, with slightly cooler temperatures as we can expect to see a high of 27 C during the day and low of 13 C at night.
Next week the forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the upper 20s.
Normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 25 C and lows of 11 C.
