The Harlem Globetrotters – the world’s winningest basketball team – are returning to Penticton to take on the Washington Generals.
Washington will stop at nothing to defeat Harlem, according to a press release from the South Okanagan Events Centre issued today, Dec. 2.
However, the Generals – who are the exclusive opponent of the Globetrotters – haven’t won a match since 1971.
The games aren’t meant to be competitive though – they’re a showcase of impressive tricks and family-friendly humour in the format of a basketball game.
The Globetrotters game in Penticton, which is part of the team's 2023 World Tour, is scheduled for Jan. 25.
Tickets go on sale thru ValleyFirstTix.com on Monday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. and prices range from $20 to $95.
