HALIFAX - Fire units and emergency personnel are at the scene of what's believed to be a radioactive leak aboard a ship at the port of Halifax.
Division commander Corey Beals of the Halifax Fire Department says he has few details, but confirms firefighters are dealing with "some sort of raidiological leak."
Beals says the leak is coming from a container aboard a ship at the Ceres terminal in Fairview Cove in the city's north end.
He couldn't provide details on the kind of material or on how much has leaked from the container.
