VERNON - The weird and wacky musical Spamalot is heading to Vernon and is guaranteed to make audiences laugh.

Based on the classic comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Vernon theatre company Big Apple Productions is bringing the musical comedy Spamalot to the Powerhouse Theatre stage.

Big Apple Productions founder ‎Melina Schein‎ said the cast consists almost entirely of Vernon locals who perform the many weird and wacky characters in this semi-professional production.

"It is the absolute funniest most irreverent production anyone will ever see anywhere ever," Schein‎ said.

She says it doesn't matter if you're a fan of the British cult movie or familiar with the Python version of King Arthur's quest for the Holy Grail.

"It's Monty Python so it's silly and it's farcical [but] even for non-Monty Python fans... it has something for everyone and it's guaranteed to make audiences laugh."

The musical runs from May 30 to June 8 at the Powerhouse Theatre Vernon. Tickets can be purchased here.
