Great timing for Infotel News Vegas trip winner

"THIS WAS SO TIMELY, IT WAS JUST INCREDIBLE"

KAMLOOPS - For one InfoTel reader, winning a recent online sweepstakes was more than some contest — it was 'divine intervention.'

Sharlene Klein, of Kamloops said winning our Las Vegas trip meant more to her than being randomly selected for the grand prize. She says it was her mom looking out for her after passing away, because her mom would have wanted her to attend her sister-in-law's wedding in Vegas;  a trip she and her husband couldn't afford to attend as their own daughter prepares to get married next year.

"This was so timely, it was just incredible," she says, holding back tears. "If this wasn't divine intervention, I don't know what it was."

With only three weeks until their family member says 'I do', Klein took a chance and won big.

Her family members all entered the InfoTel contest, and they eagerly hoped for a miracle to get them to the wedding.

This week their fate was sealed when Klein scrolled through the page of winners on the InfoTel website.

"I said, 'Darnit, I didn't even win the gift certificate'," she said. "And suddenly I see my name in big bold letters."

She had checked in the wee hours of the morning, so she celebrated herself as everyone else in her world continued to sleep.

"It's 5:45 a.m. in the morning, and I'm just like 'woo hoo!'" she said with a chuckle.

With little time before the wedding, Klein is getting ready to go quickly.

"I've already got it planned out," she said.

She hasn't been to Vegas in almost a decade, so she's looking forward to her time with family and also a little time in the casinos.

"I'm gambling! If you're going to go to Vegas, you're going to have some fun!"

Hopefully they'll have similar luck on the slots.
