KAMLOOPS — B.C. Transit and the City of Kamloops want to hear your input on local transit plans at an open house next week.
Decision makers are looking to update the 2012 Kamloops Transit Future Plan by incorporating your vision for the Kamloops Transit System, a B.C. Transit media release says.
Back in February, Kamloops city council received the information from B.C. Transit about adding 3,000 hours of service to improve the core transit network, service span and frequency of service.
Now you can have a say on some of the potential changes on the table such as modifications to bus routes including 4 Pacific Way, 2 Parkcrest, 7 Aberdeen, along with re-introduction of 8 Battle and the introduction of 99 Southwest Loop and 98 East West Express.
"Feedback gathered through the online survey and open houses will help B.C. Transit and the City of Kamloops to develop strategies to improve existing services and identify future service needs," the release says.
An open house will be held at the Landsdowne Exchange on Wednesday, March 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and at Thompson Rivers University at The Terrace, 2nd Floor Campus Activity Centre from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
