WATERLOO, Ont. - American Sandra Changkija is the early clubhouse leader at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic after opening with an 8-under-par 63.
Changkija started play on the back nine of the 6,354-yard Grey Silo Golf Course.
She was 2 under par after nine holes and then reeled off six birdies on the front nine.
China’s Shanshan Feng, who won the Wegman’s LPGA Championship two weeks ago, is charging up the leaderboard at five-under par after 14 holes.
American Lacey Agnew and Angela Stanford, along with Norway’s Suzann Petterson are also in contention.
Charlottetown's Lorie Kane is one of several Canadians in the field.
