Get your fill of Easter egg hunts in Kamloops

The B.C. Wildlife Park will be one of many places hosting Easter egg hunts this weekend.

KAMLOOPS - If your kids, or you, are itching for a little Easter fun this long weekend you will have your pick of activities in and around the city.

Friday through Monday, the B.C. Wildlife Park will be hosting the annual Easter Eggs-citement event featuring Uncle Chris the Clown, the Vancouver Aquarium’s Aqua Van (only on Saturday, April 4), a pancake breakfast, Easter eggs every half hour, scavenger hunts, bouncy castles, colouring contests and more.

In addition to an indoor farmers’ market from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sahali Mall will have Easter events Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with bouncy castles, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a craft table, guest appearances from Elsa and Anna, face painting and more.

The Bible Truth Church on Fraser Street is also hosting a free egg hunt at 2 p.m. (for Grade 7 and under) and will have a designated toddler hunt area for the little ones. There will also be a barbecue and scavenger hunt.

Sun Peaks will also be hosting an Easter Extravaganza this weekend with a variety of concerts, contests, kids Easter egg hunt — with an appearance from Easter Bunny and Harry Bear, a slopestyle party in the park hosted by Oronge Boardshop.

Whispering Pines will be the scene of the Big Kahuna 10 races Saturday and Sunday.

If you are looking for a special brunch on Easter Sunday several local restaurants will have brunch menus.
