Get ready for bowling and so much more in West Kelowna in July

West Kelowna residents should dust off their best bowling wardrobe.

Seth Matkin and Travis McPherson, the owners of Whiski-Jacks, are bringing lanes of 10-pin family fun to the area.

“Travis and I have been wanting to branch out and expand the Whiski-Jack's name for a long time,” Matkin said.

“We thought that having a bowling alley on the west side would be a perfect fit. It will be open to all ages and we will even have a separate party room for birthdays.”

The duo recognized there are few recreational spaces on the West Kelowna side of the bridge and that bowling has come a long way.

“It is all new technology so there will be fun side games to play other than just regular bowling,” Matkin said.

“The pub side will have some arcade games, social tables and a lot of TVs. It's going to be a fun-filled establishment that also is keeping (with) our tradition of high-quality food at a great price.”

The aim is to open up for July, though other issues, like COVID-19 may come in to play.

The pub, restaurant and bowling alley will be located at the Okanagan Lake Shopping Centre, next to Tim Hortons in what was Bodhi Functional Training Centre.
