Corn Maze and fall fun start this Saturday at the Historic O'Keefe Ranch.

Fall weekend fun awaits you throughout the Okanagan and Kamloops.

KAMLOOPS

Back by popular demand the Kamloops Bike Riders Association B.C. Enduro Series returns this weekend.

KPPC and Harper Mountain proudly present Octoberfest. Join in on a fun, family friendly event complete with an 8 km cross country event, team cross country for the adults and a kids race. All levels are welcome.

Food trucks, beverage garden, bike demos and door prizes including a two nights, summer stay at Sol Mountain lodge.

Proceeds from this event will be donated back to trail development of Harper trails. Visit the Facebook page for more info.

All residents of Juniper are invited to join in on the community block party Sunday, October 4 from 4-7 p.m.

There will be a DJ on hand, face painting, bubbles and food trucks. Bring or buy a picnic dinner from the food trucks or the Juniper Market and wrap up summer with friends and community.

Bring your own chair, cup, plate and utensils and go green. Parking will be limited so please car pool, walk, bike or scoot to the party.

Juniper Ridge Community Association will be there. This will be a great time to contribute $20 community dues for 2019 supporting the community events, celebrations and the ice rink.

October is Community Inclusion Month in B.C., with this year’s theme being The Future is Accessible.

As part of Community Inclusion Month, in addition to raising funds for People in Motion, an agency committed to supporting accessibility and inclusion, awareness will be raised about the barriers to inclusion that exist for many individuals living in Kamloops on Friday, October 4 with An Amazing Race to Inclusion.

This fun and challenging event will have participants traveling throughout Kamloops getting firsthand experience with some of the challenges that come with having different disabilities. It is sure to give participants a better understanding of the daily experiences of many people living with diverse abilities.

Fall fun is upon us at the Historic O’Keefe Ranch.

Family Daze in the Corn Maze every Saturday and Sunday in October starting October 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. will delight everyone.

Cost is $10 per person or $30 per family. Activities include a corn maze, pony rides, stagecoach rides, farm animal fun, Saturday markets food trucks and colouring contest - with a winner every weekend.

The Pumpkin Patch is kicking off the season this weekend with the Salt Fowler Pumpkin Fest party Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 642 Saint Annes Road in Armstrong.

Pumpkin Fest is a yearly event hosted by the Salt Fowler team at RE/MAX Vernon. It is also an opportunity for those who wish to donate to raise money for the Vernon and District Animal Care Society (VDACS). There will be hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee, treats plus a photo booth, face painting and much more.

The Fall Well Being Show comes to the Kanata Kelowna Hotel and Conference Centre Friday, October 4 to Sunday, October 6.

To become more aware of the well-being options available come meet and learn from local well-being practitioners, sample various treatments and feel inspired.

Check grape stomping off your bucket list this Saturday, October 5 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The annual Grape Stomping Party at the House of Rose Winery is fun for the whole family and everyone is welcome.

Rock the Rink is a brand new tour that focuses on being more than a figure skating show, and you’ll not want to miss out.

Combining the highest level of on-ice superstar talent with an ever-evolving touring production, Rock The Rink will produce the highest value of entertainment. This year, along with upgrades to lighting, video and interactive technology,  live music will be introduced to the show with featured special musical guest, Birds of Bellwoods.

The production will tour from coast-to-coast across Canada, including one stop at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton on Sunday, October 6.  The cast will feature Canadian greats, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond and Elvis Stojko. The show will also be bring world-renowned skating talent from Europe and the U.S. with Italian Olympic Medalist and World Champion, Carolina Kostner, Olympic Medalist and four time U.S. National Champion, Jeremy Abbott and Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov.

Come and learn to re-write the story of you and anxiety this Sunday, October 6 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Learn about nutrition and mental health tools and techniques for food plus lifestyle by Laurel Garner and Raina Lutz.

Relatable education from nutritionists will be offered who've been there and care. They will share everything we know about holistic care for anxiety including gut health and mental health connection, tools to calm the nervous system, therapy and conventional meds and of course the foods to support all of this.
