Gas prices jump in the Central Okanagan

KELOWNA - If you’re running low on gas and can find a gas station that has yet to get the memo, you might want to fill up.

Gasbuddy.com users are reporting an 11 cent jump in the price of regular gas, from $1.11.9 to $1.22.9 at stations across the Central Okanagan.

And you might have better luck off the highway. A quick scan of the Kelowna area shows most of the stations along Harvey Avenue and Highway 97 are displaying the new higher price while those off the main drag may still be selling fuel at the lower price.

Stations in West Kelowna and Lake Country also seem to be hanging on to the lower price although that could end at any time.

Higher gas prices traditionallly arrive in the Okanagan in time for warmer weather the tourist season.
