Gas price soars in Vernon while rest of Okanagan and Kamloops stable

The price of gas has soared in Vernon.

The price of a litre of regular gas jumped by 14 cents to $1.58 in Vernon overnight, according to data from GasBuddy.com today, Oct. 6.

Kamloops experienced a slight increase in the price at the pumps to $1.50 and prices appear to have been quite steady for the last month.

Kelowna and Penticton drivers are getting off easy today with fairly stable gas prices at $1.49 and $1.48 respectively.

By way of comparison, gas prices in Vancouver are around $1.55 per litre today.
