Canada Games athletes evacuated after domestic disturbance near residence

LENNOXVILLE, Que. - More than 40 athletes were evacuated from a university residence at the Canada Summer Games today after police were called to a domestic disturbance at a house across the street.

Games CEO Luc Fournier says no athletes were injured or in danger during the incident.

He says they were evacuated from the male residence as a precaution.

Several events had to be rescheduled because the athletes were forced to leave their equipment in the dorm.

The incident happened near the campus of Bishop's University, which is being used to house athletes during the Games.
