Former Kelowna Minor Lacrosse treasurer charged with theft, fraud

The former treasurer of a Kelowna minor lacrosse association has been charged with theft and fraud dating back to events that occurred three years ago.

Following the three-year-long investigation, the B.C. Prosecution Service has charged John Scott Adams, 57, with theft over $5,000 and fraud over $5,000, according to an RCMP media release.

Kelowna RCMP began an investigation into a report of an alleged fraud involving the Kelowna Minor Lacrosse Association's former treasurer, Oct. 18, 2018. 

Adams is scheduled to appear in Kelowna court, Jan. 11.
