Former Kamloops Blazer, Jarome Iginla will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Nov.15th.

Former Kamloops Blazer Jarome Iginla will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Nov. 15.
Iginla will be the third Kamloops Blazers alumni to receive this recognition, joining Scott Niedermayer and Mark Recchi.
Originally from St. Albert, AB, Iginla played junior hockey in Kamloops from 1993 to 1996, totalling 183 games with the team. He scored 102 goals and 134 assists, for 236 points, according to a release by the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club.
Iginla was a part of two Memorial Cup championships in 1994 and 1995.
He went on to a successful NHL career playing 21 seasons and 1554 games, said the club.
Iginla put up 625 goals, 675 assists and 1300 career points primarily with the Calgary Flames but also the Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings.
His list of accomplishments at the international level for Team Canada include gold medals in the World Junior Championship in 1996, World Men’s Championship in 1997, World Cup in 2004 and Olympic Gold Medals in 2002 and 2010.
