PENTICTON - Reindeer and elves can safely poke their heads out this weekend now the ghoul and ghosts have been tucked away.

There will be more than 100 vendors selling pottery, jewelery, linen, crafts and food, as well as live music and Santa Claus himself at the Santa Presents 17th Annual Craft Show at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre Saturday and Sunday. Seeing Santa isn't free though and each visitor will need $4 to get inside. Some of the proceeds will go to support the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation.

If it's too early for Christmas spirit there's always the spirit of rock and roll. The Penticton Cleland Theatre will have the Class of '59 - The Early Years of Rock and Roll at 8 p.m. tonight. Tickets are on sale at the Penticton Community Centre.

Over in Summerland there's a tour of some of the best creative minds and talented hands in the area. The Summerland Studio Tour on Saturday and Sunday can take visitors to the dens of jewelers, quilters, photographers, wood workers, painters and fibre artists.

Hard copy tour maps are available at Okanagan Regional Library Summerland Branch, Dragons Den Art Supplies, Summerland Community Arts Council, Penticton Art Council as well as visitor centres in Penticton, Summerland, Naramata and Okanagan Falls.
