Flooding closes Highway 3 west of Keremeos

Rising water on the Similkameen River has closed Highway 3 between Keremeos and Hedley today, May 10, 2018.

PENTICTON - Highway 3 west of Keremeos in the Similkameen is closed until further notice due to flooding.

The highway is closed in both directions 14 kilometres west of Keremeos, according to Drive B.C.

There is no local detour available.

The only alternate route available for travel is viat Highway 5A in Princeton to Highway 97C, then to Highway 97 to Highway 3A in Keremeos.

Drive B.C. says there is no estimated time of reopening.
